God has daughters too, the real story

I think it goes without saying that many people find the Bible hard to read. A former Muslim turned renegade Christian, in my early days, I read the Bible hoping to find some semblance of identification with its women. I guess you could say that I wanted reassurance that they didn't all walk around with halos the size of Australia on their no doubt slender necks.

As I read through the Old Testament (I choose the OT because that period seemed more exciting than the New Testament), I found, to my surprise, that the women went through the same trials and tribulations that we do today; familial strife, warring siblings, murder and a nation that was constantly in a state of flux. From my readings, I extracted issues of race in Zipporah's and Moses' marriage, disappointment with life in Michal's and that age-old problem; unrequited love, as in the case of Leah.

Of course I couldn't write a book on every woman in the OT, so I chose ten that were of interest to me.

I've thought on and off about doing a follow up to God has daughters too, but that's a story for another day.

God has daughters too is available as an ebook on Amazon. You can also read the first chapter here.
