Career change
Writing is a lot like self-flagellation. You start, and somewhere along the line, it dawns on you that it's a really stupid idea. Come on, all that pain and aggro, for what? To see your name on a book cover that in all honesty you probably don't like anyway.
There must be easier ways to make a living. Honestly. I'm not stuck. I don't have writer's block. I just have the shakes. You know the one. It's the bit when you wake up in the morning and absolutely detest the book you're working on. You wonder why the lead character doesn't just go away or better still, die, because, really, you don't know what to do and you just know your agent will call asking how the book is going and don't worry dear we believe in you yada yada. Bloody Eyo. I never thought a 10 year old fictional character will haunt me like this but there you have it.
Like I said, I'm not stuck (yeah right). I don't have writer's block (who you kidding?). I'm just curled up under the duvet hoping Armageddon will take place a lot earlier than anticipated. And since you ask, right about now will be fine thank you very much.
Being in the UK means that my access to Prozak is very limited. If anyone has any idea where I can get it - legality is not an issue, trust me - please let me know. Otherwise, it's lights out from me. I'll see you all in the next life.
